My application doesn’t work with my Aeneon memory. |
Aeneon memory devices are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed all industry standards.
1 Be sure you’ve followed all the instructions for correct assembly of the module(s);
2 Confirm that your hardware supports the memory module type. This info can be found within your hardware documentation;
3 Confirm that your hardware configuration is correct (the default setting works fine).

I want to upgrade my PC. Which Aeneon module should I buy? |
Refer to your PC manual to learn which module type is supported by your PC or the motherboard. There are different memory types (such as DDR and DDR2) and module formats for different applications (such as unbuffered DIMMs, registered DIMMs and small-outline DIMMs). A PC operates with unbuffered DIMMs and a notebook works with small-outline DIMMs. Registered DIMMs are built for servers but usually don’t operate in PCs. Please visit the Aeneon website and select your motherboard within the Memory Configurator tool: If your motherboard or system is covered in our database, you’ll get a suggestion about which modules you can buy and use in the system.
I’ve upgraded my PC to 1Gbyte, but now my Windows 98 OS doesn’t work. |
Windows 98 and older operating systems are limited in regard to upgrade memory, and Windows 98 doesn’t allow an upgrade to 1GB main memory. Check the user manual of your PC or motherboard for information on upgrade possibilities. Please consider upgrading the version of your operating system.

How do I set my BIOS to obtain maximum performance? |
Every Aeneon memory module is equipped with an additional EEPROM memory chip. This chip contains all the information that BIOS requests in order to optimally adjust the chipset register to the memory. If you want to manually configure the BIOS to use different configuration, please refer to the BIOS documentation and the memory module datasheet. Be aware that a memory configuration different from the one specified in the datasheet can generate system instability.
I’ve bought Aeneon Xtune overclocking memory modules but the system doesn’t recognize the overclocking configuration. |
The Xtune family of memory modules supports two modes: STANDARD and Overclocking. Xtune also supports the EPP feature (Enhanced Performance Profile, supported mainly by the NVIDIA chipset based motherboards) for automatic overclocking configuration.
1 If EPP is supported by your motherboard, be sure the EPP feature is enabled in the BIOS settings (refer to your motherboard documentation).
2 Be certain you have the most recent BIOS revision on your motherboard (visit your motherboard vendor website).
3 If the EPP feature isn’t supported by your motherboard, proceed to the manual BIOS configuration (refer to your motherboard documentation).
